Update on Filming

After filming particular scenes, we have encountered a few problems which we need to try and overcome. Firstly, we are finding the space of time that we have to film quite difficult for many reasons. Usually we will film in blocks of around an hour and forty minutes, as that is how long our study periods and media filming lessons are. In this time we have to get to the location, dress Alice, set up equipment, and most importantly film our scenes. What we did not realise is that the preparation for filming is taking longer than we thought and this has led to us not being able to fit as much actual filming in as we can, setting us behind on deadlines. We are also finding it hard to arrange dates to film in locations such as my house, for the first and last scene of the video, as this needs to either be done after school, or on a weekend. This is also proving difficult as all 3 of us, as well as our actresses, have prior commitments such as; work, hobbies, and school work, and we are finding it hard to set aside a time in which we are all free to time. We also need to make sure that we are able to make it as easy as possible for Alice to be filmed at particular times as she is has volunteered to be in this video, and distracting her from her other work would be unfair on her.
However we propose to overcome this by arranging far in advance when exactly we are going to film each scene, as well as preparing as much as possible for filming the night before. This will help us to overcome problems of not having enough time to film and fit in all we need to film at each location.
