1st Editing - Walking out of Classroom

To edit my scenes I used Serif Movie plus as I felt this programme was easiest to use as I was familar to it, and it would also create the best quality videos.

I firstly imported all of my videos onto the programme, and put them in order on the bar at the bottom to work out which videos needed to be in which order.

I then cut each video so that only the good quality and relevant shots of every video were included at the bottom, and there were no unneeded footage in each film.

To make it easier to edit, I zoomed in on each film which meant I could get a closer look at each video, so that I knew where to cut each video.

I then looked at the videos together and the timing of them, to make sure that they fit in time with the music. Throughout the editing process I also made sure that I used a range of different videos to include different shots rather than using the one long video that we filmed. By doing this there were a number of different shots to make it much more interesting and to show at this point in time Alice is in power of the scene.

I then put all my edited videos together, and I had to make sure it flowed well with no cuts, breaks, or quick change of shot. I did this by using a cross fade effect to put some videos together as this gave a good effect as it meant one shot would still be fading out in the background whilst the other shot is coming into screen quickly.

Edited Video

This is the final edited video of Alice storming out of the classroom, which will need to be put through the editing process again when we are in the final stages of editing and putting all the various scenes together. When editing this video I made sure that it was to the timing of the music and that it had the right amount of seconds that was needed for the time of the song. By doing this it will make it much easier in the final stages of editing to fit all the videos to the song.
