From the photos above it is clearly shown that I have based my research around Ellie Goulding, as I feel this artist and my model Alice have similarities, in the colour of hair, and the young, innocent look they both share.
In these photos there has been an effect used where Ellie is moving and the camera captures this to give it a blurred effect, which I feel is quite effective to give it a different and edgy look.

I feel the close up shots are very similiar to what I want to achieve myself as I feel that it gives a serious and defined look which is what I want to recreate in my cover, and this works well with the use of a simplistic and plain background which is shown in these photos.
The main focus of these photos is Ellie Gouldings hair, eyes, and facial expression, as it is showing her main attributes which I think will work well with Alice as well.
When taking my own photos I hope to be able to compare these to my research and find a lot of similarities as this will be extremely useful and show good evidence of what I have based my ancillary task around.

I then looked at Kelly Clarksons album covers as when listening to her song she had the same 'Pop/Rock' style music and I felt that this correlated well with Pink's album, and therefore thought I should look at Kelly Clarksons covers to see if there were similarities.
My favourite photo out of all of these examples is the top one as I like the way the artist is posing with her hands on her face, and the focus is on her hair, eyes, and the way she is portrayed. The use of her putting hands on her face is something i'd like to include on my CD cover as it portrays depression, and embarassment.
The use of all these four album covers is very effective and I would like to interpret this into my own work. The clothing and hair of the artist are in my eyes the main attraction to the covers and as her hair is extremely volumised and large it creates a 'large' and 'wild' personality of the artist.
This example links in well with my previous examples as it shows Nicole Scherzinger with her hand resting on her face which again portrays; frustration and distress.
